HED looking for a National Sustainable Engineering Leader

Greetings friends.  Our leadership has decided to create a partner-position to my role but in the engineering group of our firm.  This person would be a key ally in my work improving the high performance and sustainability of our projects with a focus on high-performance mechanical systems, net-zero, electrification, etc...  If you are interested or know someone who might be please check out the brief synopsis below and the link to the posting afterward with full detail.

PRIMARY FUNCTION
 
The National Sustainable Engineering Leader is responsible for developing, leading and supporting the firm’s Sustainable Design Commitment as outlined in its Sustainability Action Plan (SAP) as approved by Corporate Leadership.  As such they shall promote quality design efforts of all Disciplines and Sectors and be acutely involved in the positioning of the practice as well as supporting the pursuit, win, and delivery of projects firmwide.

 

The National Sustainable Engineering Leader is responsible for elevating and promoting the firm’s reputation as a leader in sustainable design by leading both general education of staff on related topics and facilitating project-specific support.   They will lead and mentor the firm’s Engineering Leaders and staff, be responsible for energy modeling standards and growth, CFD implementation and growth, and collaborate with specialists such as building scientists.

The National Sustainable Engineering Leader will work for the advancement of engineering and architecture design through enhanced sustainability and resiliency while respecting client requirements and limits.

The National Sustainable Engineering Leader will report activities and progress semi-annually in the form of a brief written report.  These brief reports will be due on March 1st and October 1st of each year, which corresponds to the firm’s Board of Directors’ Meetings.
