Heat Island Reduction Roof

What if there is a Shed on the Terrace? Since the sun rays are not falling directly on to the terrace and no direct expose of terrace surface... Will such project comply this credit ??

We have water proofing covered by grey aggregate . What do you mean by maintenance of roof.

Hi Salman, the maintenance requirement is to ensure that reflective roof materials are cleaned so that they maintain their reflectivity over time. If the grey aggregate at your project is being counted as a high-reflectance roof surface for this credit, you'll want to determine what kind of cleaning activities may be needed (once every three years). If the grey aggregate is not contributing to the credit as a high-reflectance roof surface, the cleaning requirement doesn't apply.
