The credit requirements state that the team should "Engage an Ergonomist or Health and Safety Specialist". What is a Health and Safety Specialist? Is this someone with Ergonomics training? Do they have to have some kind of documented certification or experience? Are the requirements for this person described somewhere?

Hi Marissa,
Good question, there are definitions for the Ergonomist and Health and Safety specialists in the USGBC credit library, under the resources tab for the pilot credit. here is a direct link: http://www.usgbc.org/resources/ergonomics-definitions

It's becoming more common for there to be certified ergonomists employed by furniture manufacturers. In the case of our recent office tenant improvement, we were able to provide a certified ergonomist to work with Human Resources and provide training to employees at no additional cost.
Check with the manufacturer of your specified furniture first.
