"Gross square footage undergoing initial fit-out"

what's the difference between "Gross square footage undergoing initial fit-out" vs "Gross square footage undergoing alteration"? I can not find these terms in the Reference Guide, nor on LEEDonline... thanks

Sue, "facility alterations" has a specific definition, at least in the context of LEED-EBOM. See the FAQ's section of the EBOM MRc3 page for more.If that is what the form is looking for, then I think fit-out would be the opposite of alteration -- a more complete renovation project.
