Our project is a one story learning/conference center. In this case is the gross square footage the same as the building footprint?

Lynne, unless your project includes outdoor spaces like patios that would be counted in the GSF but not the building footprint, then yes, the two should be the same for a one-story building.

Kimberly,
We have a landscaped courtyard adjacent to the building. I was initially including this in the gross square footage. But their definition of gross square footage leads me to think it only includes square footage within the building.
Am I interpreting this incorrectly?

Lynne, sorry about the confusion. Based on the LEEDuser definition of GSF, it should be the same as your building footprint for a one-story building.
