Has anyone successfully earned an ID point for Green Cleaning in a residential condo building? The common areas of the building would be under a green cleaning contract that meets the credit requirements. The developer also plans to distribute "green cleaning kits" and instructions to all residents at move-in, but then the unit owners would have to do their own cleaning and would be on their own after that.
Anyone think this will work? Anyone have suggestions for a condo situation? Thanks!

Hi Erica,
We've done this many times for apartment buildings, with common areas cleaned and introductory supplies distributed. The in unit cleaning is also on the resident. I see no reason this would be different for a condo project.

There used to be a rubric for this credit that touched on the residential component. I don't know how that is addressed now with the innovation catalogue and its somewhat exclusive focus on the EBOM requirements. Below is the guidance we have always followed and have simply created another section for it in the typical EBOM plan structure:
"Select six major cleaning needs and identify products that will be supplied to meet these needs. Note that one cleaner may address several cleaning functions. Examples of cleaning needs include, but are not limited to: counter, sink, tub/shower, tile, limescale remover, toilet, hard flooring, laundry detergent, laundry bleach and windows. Provide an estimated 6 month supply of these products to residents, as well as information on how to easily purchase refills/replacements, in order to increase the likelihood that these types of products will be permanently adopted."
