This innovation credit requires the development of a COVID-19 focused green cleaning policy. Due to the uncertain and evolving nature of the COVID-19 virus, our project team isn't sure if regulations and recommendations around the cleaning products will change on an ongoing basis as more information about the virus becomes available. Our project team is also unsure of the threshold where the virus is considered under control and the team should revert to the green cleaning policy as noted in the prerequisite.
Are any other project teams considering this question?

To address the evolving nature of this pandemic, it might be benefitial to have the policies be dated with the date of it's last update and include a clause someomthing to the effect of "Due to the evolving nature of this pandemic, please refer to the following for latest guidlines and strategies provided by the... " and then provide the links.

Can this Pilot be used on New Construction projects ... almost like the EBOM Starter Kit?

I noticed that USGBC.org now does have several notices about the ongoing pandemic and shifts in procedures and policies as time goes on in ragrds to this credit as well as a clause that states "These special pilot credits are awarded based on project teams attempting to meet the requirements to the best of their ability and providing feedback on the requirements. The credits may change as feedback is received." I appreciate these new statements and USGBC's understanding of the changing situation. I think this makes the requirements more adaptable to our individual locations and current situations regarding the pandemic.

I had a similar question to this, although since it showed up in the NC filter and didn't explicity say for LEED O+M Only. That's my train of thought anyhow.

Has anyone had issues with navigating CDC cleaning agents and meeting the green cleaning requirements? The facility I'm currently working on is a laboratory and will default to what the CDC reccommends throughout. Any reccommendations on how to navigate this in supporting documentation?

I had a client who allowed tenants in the project building to request a disinfecting of their space. A GBAC certified company would come in a disinfect the area. This was on top of the janitorial staff being trained under the USGBC Green Janitor Education Program.
