ND-v2009 GIBp1:Certified green building

Green Building Rating System Defined

We are pursuing LEED ND certification on a mixed-use/multi-family project. The multi-family units will achieve ENERGY STAR v3 certification. Does ENERGY STAR certification satisfy this prerequisite? I understand that ENERGY STAR is focused on energy, so it may not qualify.

Jeremy, EnergySTAR won't work for GIBp1, but it is recognized under GIBp2 and c2. If you haven't already, you might also check out an Aug 1, 2011 Addenda to GIBp2/c2 that addresses EnergySTAR. Eliot

Eliot, that is what I suspected. Thank you for referencing the addenda!
