Glare control

Hi, We're working in a project trying to achieve this credit by option 3 (measurement). Our façade is an existing curtain wall. There are two different skins. The exterior one has solar control. Could this be considered as glare control for this credit?. We've seem that depending on which document we are using lower limit is 10 or 25 fc. Could someone confirm which one we have to use?. Thanks in advantage

Belen, What type of solar control does the outer façade have? If it has lourvers or some other sort of shading devices, then this would be considered glare control. The lower limit is 10fc. This was changed in the addendum in 2010.

Thanks Todd, Our project includes doble curtain wall with a maintenance corridor between both walls. The exterior one has solar control glazing. Could this work as a glare control?. Thanks

Belen, Solar control glazing, and I'm assuming you mean glazing with some type of coating such as low E, is not an acceptable form of glare control. Manual or automated blinds, louvers, or other exterior shading devices would be acceptable.
