Is equipment that is powered by gas (such as gas cookers, fryers, ovens) to be included in the list as well or should we just include electrical equipment?

Yes, there is such a thing as gas-powered equipment that is also Energy Star. Please feel free to use this link which will take you to a really great spreadsheet that shows all of the baselines/prescriptives as well as what the basis of the standard is. I never leave home without it. And don't forget to consider induction (ranges) as an alternative to gas because then, you have the added bonus of lower cfm requirement & less energy usage for make up air.

This spreadsheet is very informative, especially for energy modeling, but to ask a more basic question, exactly how do we enter the value for Rated Power (in watts) in the LEED template from a piece of Gas Equipment, energy star or not? The cut sheet shows electrical requirements, but those are for auxiliary functions such as fans or starters, not the gas energy usage.

This is an old thread but I don't see the resolution. How do we enter watts into the table, when the gas powered equipment has only volts and no amps?

No, I didn't. Unfortunately, this is so many projects under the bridge by now that I'm not sure what happened. I believe that we converted the BTUs to Kilowatts.
