I would like to clarify what exactly is meant by 'full annual simulation' for the sDA and ASE (Option 1 of the credit).
The sw we are using (IES VE) gives the following options when performing dynamic daylighting simulations:
- Full year: 365 days
- Full year: Holiday profile
- Full year: Weekdays only
- Full year: 12 design days
- Full year: every 7 days
Is the full 365 days simulation required, or would (for example) the use of 12 design days be acceptable?
(of course we understand that the 365 days gives more accurate picture, but reduction to 12 design days would massively reduce the time needed to run the sim. This is especially important when evaluating more design options).
