Hi Folks,
I am working on an energy model for non-residential building. The baseline system would be system-5 Packaged system with reheat. As per ASHRAE 90.1 Table G3.1.1B, the heating type would be hot water FOSSIL FUEL boiler. However, section G3.1.3.2 says the boiler plant shall use the same fuel as proposed design. Now, the proposed systems are all electric no gas. What should be the fuel type for my baseline case? Is it fossile fuel or electric? Please advise.
Thanks and Regards,
Pramod

The Baseline fuel should be natural gas, or propane if natural gas is not available for the proposed building site according to TAble G3.1.10. The reference to the same fuel as the proposed design has been removed from Section G3.1.3.2 by addenda be, bm, bn, bo, bp, br, bs, bu, bv, cf, cl, cm, cq, ct, cu, cv, cw, cy.
