FSC 100% (Pure) doors manufactured today for the most part are not available. The door components used in most door assemblies today are a combination of; FSC 100% (Pure) material, FSC Mix Credit, FSC Mix %, and FSC Controlled Wood. While the entire assembly may have a high FSC percentage claim noted on the invoice, it would not carry a FSC 100% (Pure) claim due to the mix of FSC materials utilized in the construction as noted above.

FSC Controlled Wood is allowed in door assemblies and would result in the final completed assembly having a FSC percentage claim. The FSC Controlled Wood portion of that assembly would not contribute toward the Certified Wood credit as the material does not come from an actual FSC certified forest. Only the FSC virgin materials (from the FSC certified forest) in that assembly would contribute towards the MRc7 credit.
