Hi,

We are doing a CI V4 project in Hong Kong. The project consist of few Customer Service Rooms. During office hours, it is served by VAV boxes already present in the project. After Office hours, There is a provision of FCU, as base building VAV will be shut off. As I checked the drawing, I realised, the FCU does not get any Fresh Air. The designer replied that during non office hours, the Fresh air will be drawn into the customer service room using a ventilation fan which will get recirculated air from the open office into the customer service room. But logically speaking, this air is not fresh air but recirculated air already present in the open office. I understand that any occupied space requires dedicated fresh air provision, but it seems the cleint and the designer do not intend to go for FA provision for these FCUs becuase they beleive that the FCU will only operate after office hours, so its not cost effective to install a new FA duct just for this purpose. But I belive this might LEED reviewer reject this prerequisite. Is there any other way this issue can be resolved?
