Food Sourcing

With the new requirement under MR for Food Purchasing - is there an exception for properties outside of the US (in the Caribbean) who may not be able to achieve this due to their location?

I'm not aware of any, and would be surprised if there were. Over the history of LEED, island locations have often had more difficulty with some credits, especially regional sourcing, and I've never been aware of any special allowances for them.
