CI-2009 SSc3.3:Alternative Transportation—Parking Availability

Fleet Vehicle Parking CI 2009 SSc3.3

Working toward certification under CI 2009 version. Renovation to an existing building that is less than 75% of total building space, so we are under Case 1 Option 1. Client/tenant is a government entity with 49 dedicated parking spaces for fleet vehicles, which are listed in the lease, so we cannot apply for Option 2. No other parking spaces will be provided for staff commuting. City zoning minimum required parking spaces is 0, so we exceed that. However, can we list fleet vehicles under special circumstances that preclude documentation? Will LEED interpret fleet vehicles, which are not being used by commuters, as "no parking spaces will be provided or subsidized for project space occupants? In that case, should we submit under Case 1 Option 2?
