Looking for suggestions on how to determine the parking ratio for a Fire Station. There doesn't seem to be any use within the Base Ratios Table that align with a Fire Station.

That's a tough one - none of the uses in the table seem to line up well. The LEED guidance is to identify the closest use in the tables versus looking for outside sources, so I'd say pick something and write up a couple sentences explaining your choice...
General Light Industrial seems like a good fit based on the occupant density - less than an office or retail but not extremely low. With the space dedicated to machinery/storage the occupant density could be comparable to the industrial facilities ITE based these tables on.
Another alternative might be the Boarding House option, counting based on sleeping units. The parking space calculation seems like it would capture the building use fairly well; you'd have some "residential" occupants plus a few additional.

Have you created an approach on this one or get any GBCI feedback? We have a Police Station, which has some Government Office spaces, but also a higher degree of storage, and a firing range which comprises a large % of the building area.

Same question about parking requirements for fire/police stations / public safety buildings. Anyone receive any feedback, or find a defensible base table ratio? Thanks!
