Hi,
I have a doubt related to the pressure to be considered for the baseline and proposed fan power.
Currently, I'm using a simulation software that, by default, uses a 2'' total static pressure for the baseline fans. If, in a specific project, the total static pressure for the proposed model is 1.5'', for example, should I also adopt this pressure for the baseline fans?

The baseline fan power must be calculated according to G3.1.2.9. The static pressure in the proposed does not enter into the baseline calculation except for the pressure drop adjustments. in fact the baseline fan power should not be calculated with any assumed static pressure from the modeling software.

Maybe I didn't explain the matter very well.
In fact, the software calculates the baseline fan power according to section G3.1.2.9. But at the simulation time, it reads the flow, the pressure and the fan efficiency, which depends on the pressure.

Hard to say how you would do it as this is very software specific. I am not aware of anywhere that the static pressure is used in the baseline fan power calculations beyond the adjustments. Make sure you understand how the fan power calculations are supposed to be calculated before assuming that your software does it right. Depending upon the inputs the results may not be the same. We always do the baseline fan power calculations in a spreadsheet to check the modeling results to make sure we get it right.
Perhaps the question is more appropriate for the software supplier or one of the discussion forums at onebuilding.org.
