Fan's power

Hello all, two little questions about fan's power: - Which is exactly the difference between demand fan power, peak fan power and fan power allowance? - How do i have to relate baseline and proposed building pressure drop adjustment? Thank you in advance!

Demand is the average wattage over a certain time increment (typically 15 minutes in the USA). The highest peak period of a given time frame (month, year) is the peak demand. The fan power allowance is the total calculated fan power (kW). So in a constant volume system the peak and the allowance and the annual demand are the same. A VAV system would have a demand and peak lower that the allowance. You claim baseline pressure drop adjustment based on the characteristics of the proposed design. So if you have ducted returns or MERV 13 filters you can claim those adjustment. The two exceptions are for heat recovery and evaporative cooling. You never use the adjustment for evaporative cooling in the baseline and you only use the heat recovery adjustment if the baseline is required to have heat recovery (see G3.1.2.10).
