Fan Power Calculation

In base case, how to calculate bhp/cfm value for AHUs if we know flow (in CFM) & cooling capacity (btu/h) details? In Design Case, if we know CFM & Power (normal - in kW), how to calculate bhp/cfm?

There is an Appendix G Fan Power Calculator in the Documentation Toolkit above.

What is the difference between CFMs & CFMd? Please explain.

Refer to Table 6.5.3.1.1A in ASHRAE 90.1. "s" is supply. "d" is design air flow.

Dear Marcus, Thanks for your information. I am only a beginner in modeling. Please let me know how to calculate bhp/cfm for design case if we know design CFM & power requirement (in kW). How to convert to bhp from kW? Is it hp & bhp same?

hp x 746 = watts They are not quite the same. hp is the nominal value and bhp is under actual operating condition.
