Facade lighting, Interior / exterior?

Hello, If facade lighting are installed at the perimeter inside the building, should this be considered interior or exterior LPD? These lights will be controlled / operated by the base building and energy consumption will not be billed to the tenants. -Bob

Not sure. I would need to know much more about the installation to offer an opinion.

Thanks for your response Marcus. Once installed the lighting effect would be like "Water Cube" in China. please see refer to this link: http://www.filmapia.com/published/places/beijing-national-aquatics-center-water-cube I also tried to check how 90.1 describes an interior and exterior lignting "lighting power allowance", it doesnt really say anything about its purpose to determine if it's interior or exterior. -Bob

Since the lighting illuminates the facade I would say that it is exterior facade lighting. I think the bottom line is not determined based on where the fixtures are located but by the task to be served by the fixtures.
