Project location: Outside Bogotá, Colombia
I am currently working on a CS project (a warehouse more specifically) located in a suburban region, near Bogotá-Colombia, called Tocancipá. The project just implemented a recycling storage area for materials but it has no air extraction designed. This room has direct access to the outside. Can we extract the air from it naturally or it is mandatory to put mechanical air extraction?
Thank you in advanced

Hi Luis,
The requirements for the MR prerequisite do not include anything about ventilation, just need to show that you have a recycling collection space. However it is good practice to ensure that there is adequate air flow through this space so that it does not attract pests. But you will want to ensure that your project meets the requirements of IEQp1 via ASHRAE 62.1 - where there are approaches for both mechanical and natural ventilation rates.
