External Lightning Exceptions

Hi everyone, It is necessary to prove the power density in external illuminations with the following characteristics: - Accent lighting (lighting focused on plants and trees) - Lighting for visual communication These lights are not part of the load of lighting design. Should I consider them as exceptions, correct? Thank you!

There is a list of exceptions in 9.4.5. I do not see anything on the list that would exempt the accent lighting. The lighting for visual communication might be under a, b, or c? You can exempt those exceptions listed from the requirements of the standard but you still must include them in your energy models as identical process loads.

I believe these fixtures focused on plants and trees, do not make sense considering the illuminated area. Made this analysis and the power of the baseline was much higher compared to the proposed. I think in this case the best option is to consider according to what you said. Identical process loads. Lights for visual communication, I think in some cases can be considered both in Option A, as in Option B.

If you are exempting any exterior lighting you will need to cite an exception in order to consider it a process load. Other wise this lighting goes in the Proposed and not the Baseline.

Marcus, thank you. Now I understand. I will follow with this parameter.
