What have you all determined to be an acceptable expected recycling volume estimate for this credit? I noticed that someone used 5 gal per person and that seems reasonable, but just curious what other have used successfully.

Lara,
You've not said what kind of tenant you have so I'll assume you have an office use. What we do for offices is to plan on each workstation having a blue bin under the desk. I'm not sure of the size off the top of my head. Then we plan on it being picked up each day. The staff lounge/ breakroom is where we put the other recycling streams unless the client has another collection location or a specialized process /collection spot (like the print room in my architectural office). I would plan on the cleaning people picking up the blue bins once a week. In my office they only empty them when they are overflowing.
As for general additive type information, I usually go to the California website listed in Resources above. This brochure from them may be a great guide for you as it lists a lot of their resources with websites. http://www.calrecycle.ca.gov/Publications/Documents/1413%5C20120004.pdf
