Hi everyone!
I have the following doubt. We are about to start the certification as NC Major Renovation of an exisiting building. It is a Zero Lot Line project. Can this type of project be awarded with this credit? Since the explanation on the reference guide always mentions "land previously developed", we are not sure if a whole building footprint can be considered.
Thank you for your answer!

The renovation of a zero-lot-line existing building would qualify your project under Option 1 as a "previously developed site"; thus, your project can be awarded this credit. The intent of LEED (this and other credits) is to promote the preservation of green-field sites, while also promoting density, infill projects (like yours), reuse of existing buildings, etc.
