Dear all,
I'm working on modeling of existing library building. I don't have existing glazing details. Do I have to go for unlabeled vertical fenestration (table 8.2 of ASHRAE 90.1 2007) for baseline model or just go with table 5.5-4? They are replacing all the windows.
Thanks

You can use the prescriptive values. The values in A8.2 will be worse so using them will likely increase the baseline energy use. Using the lower values in Table 5.5-4 will produce less savings. So this approach would be considered conservative and therefore acceptable. Make sure you tell the reviewer the situation and that you are choosing to be conservative.
