NIBS (National Institute of Building Sciences) does have Guideline 3 - 2006 that provides technical requirements for the commissioning of exterior enclosures. The US Army Corps of Engineers also has a reference standard for the requirements and testing of the building air barrier which is a modification of ASTM C1060.

Hi Molly and Chris. Have either of you pursued and been awarded Comprehensive Envelope Commissioning as an exemplary performance credit? If so what was accepted as "comprehensive" envelope commissioning. The NIBS document list several areas that can be commissioned but it seems to defer back to what is established in the OPR for building envelope commissioning. Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

I found the following positive USGBC interpretation/ruling on envelope Cx. It is based on the NIBS Guideline 3 standard. https://www.usgbc.org/leedinterpretations/LISearch.aspx?liaccessid=2302 WWW search results included a case study: http://www.usgbc-illinois.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/USGBC-Cx-11_0919MH.pdf
