Can exemplary performance be documented by combining Option 1 and Option 2? For example if 1,000 parking spaces are in a parking garage, and 10 "twenty minute parking only" surfaces spaces are on a hardscape materials with an SRI of at least 29 will exemplary performance be reached?

Hi Allen, There is no published guidance on whether this is an acceptable strategy for an exemplary performance credit. However, your strategy as described above, I believe, fully meets the intent of the credit, and the exemplary performance threshold. Therefore, you may be able to make the case to GBCI that, because you are fully meeting the intent of the credit, that exemplary performance may still be achieved. I hope this helps!

I agree with Kim that there's no published guidance saying that EP can be earned by combining Option 1 and Option 2. I'm not familiar with any projects attempting this strategy, so since this isn't outlined specifically in the Reference Guide you may want to submit a CIR to get formal approval.
