Hi everyone, i have a question regarding the Floodlights in a soccer station. I understand that in accordance with ASHRAE 90.1 9.4.5 the Floodlights (e. Lighting for athletic playing area) are except. Does it mean they are except for the Mandatory Provision (sum lighting power allowance) but still the Floodlights have to be part of the energy simulation? But how can we than simulate the Floodlights for the baseline building? Does anyone have experience with this, are there any special regulation regarding soccer stations for LEED Certifications? Thank you.

Your chosen Floodlight supplier will be keen on supplying you with evidence as to how much more efficient their lights are relative to the "industry Standard". Sometimes you will find this on their websites. I would suggest you use this as documentation to support your claim of industry standard floodlighting and use this in the baseline building.
