Hello, I am working on a project in Climate Zone 4 and was wondering if there is any guidance that pertains to buildings with entries that open to a ventilated parking structure which would allow us to not include vestibules at the entries? The building is >10,000sf which precludes us from meeting one of the ASHRAE 90.1 exceptions.

I think that a vestibule would not be required. Section 5.4.3.4 says "Building entrances that separate conditioned space from the exterior shall be protected with an enclosed vestibule". Since the enclosed parking is not considered "exterior" I think it is exempt.
