I’m modelling a System 5 for a baseline model. Exception b. of G3.1.1 states: “use separate single-zone systems (..) for any spaces that have occupancy or process loads or schedule that differ significantly from the rest of the building”. Is outdoor air not considered? I mean, consider a proposed building where at a floor some spaces are mechanically ventilated and some spaces aren’t. If in the baseline model all the spaces are connected at the same AHU, then outdoor air is delivered to all the spaces. Is it acceptable?
