NC-v4 EQc1:Enhanced indoor air quality strategies

ERVs and EQc1

Hello all,

I work for a ventilation manufacturer who creates ERV's/HRV's. Our units have been used to qualify for prereq's and points for energy and atmosphere. However, what we really create goes hand in hand with indoor air quality. I was wondering if anyone is aware of ERV or HRV units being used to help earn points for enhanced indoor air quality? If so, what are were the units that were used?

Dear Andrew,   The ERV/HRV can contribute EQ Enhanced IAQ Strategies in Filtration requirement. As long as the ERV/HRV has filter with at least MERV 13 or higher or at least Class F7 or higher, then the ERV/HRV can meet 1 of 3 requirement for Option 1.   Thanks and regards.
