Our team is considering pursuing this credit, but it is unclear what baseline the specified equipment is to be measured against. How does one demonstrate the specified equipment is in "the 25th percentile of lowest energy consumers for that class of equipment"? Any advice is welcome- thank you!

We struggled with this for quite some time, and came to the conclusion that this information is still unavailable. However, there is a group called COCIR that is supported by all major medical equipment brands, and currently sets the standards of energy use and savings for medical imaging, radiotherapy, health ICT, and electromedical industries. Per their recent studies & self-regulatory initiative for medical imaging equipment they have published industry average energy uses. Not the same as what the credit requests, but much better than nothing as it gives us something solid to compare to.
