Here in Chile, currently we do not have many products with EPD or running LCA (we are on our way and moving fast to do so), thus, many of the products having EPD (specific and generic) are imported, that means that environmental impacts fron transportation are not included in that document. Do these products qualify por MR credits or do they need to have an EPD developed here in Chile?.

Yes, these imported products do qualify. In an LCA, there are many factors that use averages and generic data. Transportation distances are estimated based on actual sales data in previous years. The manufacturer looks as sales data for all customers and calculates the average distance and mode of transportation used. So if 3% of sales are in Chile, then that is represented in the average.
