CI-v4 EQc1:Enhanced indoor air quality strategies

Entryway systems excluded

Hello everyone, My project is a naturally ventilated office space that does not have any entrance close to the exterior; therefore, according to the Reference Guide, our project is excluded from the entryway systems requirement. My question is, if I already have my natural ventilation design calculations and I am not going to install any entry way system, can I still achieve option 1? (both things are required for this option) Thanks!

Hmmm, I would say that you probably meet the option requirements. However, it's a bit of a gray area so I'd have to defer to GBCI.

The credit requirements seem to imply that all building entrances require entryway systems. My project is on the third floor of a huge building. Does the base building or the project require entryway systems in such an instance? To get to the project, one has to walk down a corridor, take an elevator, then walk down another corridor.

Page 333 of the CI reference guide states "Projects that do not have direct access to the exterior are exempt from this requirement."
