We have a project that has submitted spec sheets for commercial clothes washer units carrying an "Energy Star Qualified" label. I understand this to mean that the manufacturer self reports that the appliance meets certain metrics, but that the third-party verification has not been conducted.
Would these satisfy the LEED requirement for appliances in this prerequisite to be Energy Star or performance equivalent?
