NC-2009 MPR6:Must commit to sharing whole-building energy and water usage data

ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager

I am currently working on a template and it looks slightly different from the last project I worked on. There is no longer a specific option for ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, but I would assume it is still an accepted method to report water and energy use. Am I correct to assume this would be a third party data source? How do I connect the portfolio manager account to the LEED Online Template?

I hope this response is still of some help. Yes, Energy Star Portfolio Manager falls under the "third party data source." I think LEED is trying to be more generic to allow for other third parties in the future or ones they are working on. I find this LEED website helpful in trying to understand how the process works. http://www.usgbc.org/credits/commercial-interiors-core-shell-existing-buildings-healthcare-new-construction-retail-nc-r-4?view=resources&return= Portfolio Manager does not link to the LEED Online Template. The building owner gives the USGBC account access to the building's Energy Star Portfolio Manager account. I highly recommend this path, over the "approved data template" because it can lead to exemplary performance opportunity through EAc5 Measurement and Verification.
