Hi, my project is in Australia and as ENERGY STAR is not used here to rate electrical appliances there are some appliances that have been chosen that are high performing according to our star rating system but do not have the ENERGY STAR rating. Can I show equivalence by their performance?

I am not certain if this has been previously approved or not but you could certainly submit an exceptional calcuation citing the local rating system. Anything you can provide to demonstrate a level of equivalency to Energy Star would be helpful.

On projects we have worked on, we compared the equipment performance with the ENERGY STAR requirements. if we show that the equipment is as efficient or more than the ENERGY STAR criteria, then this is accepted
