NC-2009 EAp2:Minimum Energy Performance

Energy Performance Calculator - Group Approach

Hi All,

We are working in LEED NC v2009 project which is having multiple buildings and the project is going Group approach method.

Now we are trying to fill energy performance calculator for LEED submission. We have a some doubts while filling the calculator.

1. If the building is natural ventilated (No cooling/heating), is that required to fill Opaque assemblies, Fenestration tabs in calculator?

2. Since the calculator is working for individual building, how we can show the energy savings for optimize energy performance credit? Is there any separate sheet to show the energy savings or do we need to do manual calculation then show the cumulative energy savings.

Thanks,

Praveen

1. If you can make the case that the building envelop does not at all impact the energy use then no you would not need to enter this information. Make sure you provide a narrative to the reviewer with a thorough explanation. 2. There is a version of the calculator for multiple building projects that Includes a separate tab to calculate the cumulative savings. I am having some trouble finding it online. You might need to contact USGBC to request it if it is not available within the project in LEED Online.
