Energy Model Approach - Central Plant serving the Project Space

Dear All,

I am doing the Energy Model for one of CI Project considering the ASHRAE 90.1.2007 Appendix G - Performance rating method. Tenant space is 12% of overall project's area. Whole building is conditioned by Water cooled chiller. We have created two energy model to compare the cost savings associated with HVAC only.

Baseline Model: Both Project Area and Balance of Modeled Building Segment:

• Envelope - As per ASHRAE 90.1.2007 and Appendix G
• LPD - As per ASHRAE 90.1.2007 and Appendix G
• HVAC System Type (Air Side System) - As per ASHRAE 90.1.2007 and Appendix G

• Fan power - As per ASHRAE 90.1.2007 and Appendix G
• Pumps & Cooling Tower - As per ASHRAE 90.1.2007 and Appendix G

1. Whether the above approach is correct to arrive the savings to attain 5 or 10 points under EA Cr 1.3 HVAC?
2. Whether the above baseline is called Alternate baseline? Since,whole baseline model is created with As per ASHRAE 90.1.2007 only instead of existing design.
3. Fresh air and no of people has designed only for project space. For rest of spaces, Fresh air and no of people has provided as per 62.1.2007. Is this correct
