I have managed to create a rather impressive energy reduction between the baseline and proposed elevators. I am using IES software to the energy calculations and I have both baseline and proposed set exactly the same the only difference is that the profile for how the elevator is used is set to "on continuously" and the Proposed set to "BLDG: office - Elevator" which is a standard profile.
I am wondering if this approach is acceptable or is there guidance stating that they should be set to the same profile, I have check 90.1 but I do not see any guidance on this matter?

All schedules in the models must be identical according to Table G3.1-4. So no this appraoch would not be acceptable. That said you can claim credit for certain strategies related to elevators as an exceptional calculation.

That makes sense. Thanks Marcus.
