Hi All,
Has anyone found VOC data for an EIFS System or is it considered to be an inherently Non-Emitting Material. It is mainly composed of cement.
Thank you

Hi Melanie,
First, you have to check which layers are LEED considered as interior and exterior parts in your EIFS system. You may need to refer to LEED page 670-673.
If there are materials in your EIFS systems that are categorized as interior, then you have to check the requirement according its material type. For example, the insulation material only requires TVOC emission.
Regarding the inherently non emitting material, LEED only mention following materials, namely stone, ceramic, powder-coated metals, plated or anodized metal, glass, concrete, clay brick, and unfinished or untreated solid wood flooring.
If your materials doesn’t on LEED list, then better don’t categorized your materials as inherently non emitting material.
Thanks and regards.
