CI-v4 MRc3:Building product disclosure and optimization - environmental product declarations

The Eco Declaration

Many of our client's printers have received The Eco Declaration, an ECMA-370 Standard. Does this comply with the LEED 4 criteria?

Hi Kristopher,I'm not familiar with that standard, but based on a quick look at the website it doesn't seem that it would apply. It doesn't claim to comply with the ISO 14001 series of standards that apply to LCA and EPD, and it doesn't reference building materials at all.All that aside, I'm not sure that printers would qualify as building products even if they did have a compliant EPD; they're not typically within a design and construction scope of work.Nadav

Furniture isn't part of the construction, but they are part of the design scope. I would reference new printers, AV, etc in the same category, especially if we they are included in the Energy Star portion of the energy credits.
