NC-2009 EAc5:Measurement and Verification

EAc5 Option 3

We have a large project that is on a DES - We meet the criteria that forces us to include upstream DES equipment. It is a City DES system and the system info is pretty much unobtainable, also the project is much to large to do a Model recalibration. the customer wants to know about the 1 point option? (option 3- Portfolio Manager). The treatment of DES in LEED does not state anything about Option 3. Can a project on a DES pursue Option 3 and if so is the DES information required to be reported? Has anyone run into this?

If the building you are submitting meters the incoming DES energy use then you should be able to use the reporting option.
