Wondering if anyone would have a resource for drywall recycling anywhere on the western slope of Colorado. We had a resource lined up but it has fallen through. Thanks!

Hi Bethany –
Unfortunately, we do not have a company who is performing drywall recycling on the western slope of Colorado. The closest opportunity that I have heard of – but have not confirmed – is in Albuquerque, NM.
In southwestern Colorado, we have relied on the current loophole that hopefully will be closed with LEED 2012’s release of using drywall waste as part of the Alternative Daily Cover at landfills. You might consider checking with your local landfills to see if they have an ADC Permit from the state. For instance, the Montezuma County Landfill in Cortez, CO is still taking ADC.

The exact location of our closest drywall recycling is actually Fairacres, NM – outside of Las Cruces (southern New Mexico). The company’s name is Grind LLC - http://grindlc.com.
