For project pursuing double transit ridership, can rides in both directions be counted? For example, a bus line has 50 trips going west and 50 trips going east. Would that count as 100 trips or 50 trips?

Ryan, I would count that as 100 trips.

This may not be applicable, but LEED v4 - Access to Quality Transit specifically says that this would be 50 trips: "For each qualifying transit route, only trips in one direction are counted towards the threshold."

Eric, has anyone contacted GBCI about this? Trip implies to and from, but the directions aren't clear.
Anyway here's my situation:
My project is located within walking distance of commuter rail station serving 3 seperate lines, 2 subway stations serving 3 & 2 lines each, and a bus stop serving multiple express and local buses. I calculated the number of transit stops per typical weekday in a 24 period, and it was in excess of 1000. Is it possible to get 2 exemplary performance points for this?

Jamilson, as written on pages 45 and 46 of the v2009 Reference Guide, you need 200 transit rides per day.
