I did not notice a minimum percentage of landscaped area (5% has traditionally been the minimum). Is this longer a stipulation?

Hi Laura - This v4 credit can be achieved by projects that have no landscape area; the v2009 5% minimum landscaped area no longer applies.

May you please clarify if the V4 Credit can be achieve by using Xerophytes Plants in the Landscaping, since irrigation is not requiere and such plants counts as concrete for evaluation. Thanks in advanced.

Hi Diego,
This credit is about water use reduction. You can either choose option 1 - no irrigation required, or option 2 - reduce irrigation. If you have no other plants - it seems like you could use your Xerophytes Plants and say "no irrigation required" -- that would help you comply with option 1. If you're trying to go for option 2, you may need to look at more options on how to reduce your water needs through smart irrigation controls or native plants.

Just to clarify:
1. Landscaped areas and/or planters no longer have to meet a minimum of 5%? So if a project has ZERO landscaping, it would meet WEp Outdoor Water Use reduction?
2. If the project only has vegetated walls that theoretically need little (or none at all) irrigation besides what is required to establish the plants, we meet the Credit for "no irrigation"?
Thanks.
