I'm working on documenting a project on a community college campus. The Owner does not have the documentation from the previous project which was LEED certified. I would like to know if there is a way to get hold of the documentation for the adjacent project on campus to understand how decisions made by them might affect this current project; such as parking, boundary, and shower rooms. Can you point me in the right direction? Thank you!

Well - assuming the Owner Organization is the same on both projects:
1) The fastest method would probably be to contact the individual/company that served as the LEED Administrator of the old project. They should be able to still add new people to the project. Or at the very least, utilize the "Download All" function to obtain a record of all of the documentation for that project which they could forward you (zip file).
2) If the Owner is the same on both projects, he should be able to contact GBCI to request access to the previous project (as the Owner). He would then be able to download the documentation himself. The big caveat there is that there will need to be some proof in LEED Online which ties him/his company to that old project as the owner (i.e. assigned to the Team Admin(LOv2)/Registration Details(LOv3) tab in "owner" role, listed as owner in the Project summary(LOv2), etc.). If the Owner Organization on the projects are different/there's nothing in LEED Online to verify the ownership, my understanding is that GBCI might not grant him access to the project documentation (as it all depends on their ability to verify that he should have access to the project)...

The owner would want to fill out this form and you would want to make sure that he knows at least the previous project's LEED ID number (8 digits if LOv2, 10 digits if LOv3) if not also the name. The ID number is more critical as that is how GBCI staff will look up the project for verification. Once you submit the form, he should receive an automated email with a case number for verification; if he does not get that email shortly after submitting his inquiry, he should resubmit (as that is a sign that the website glitched/the question did not get submitted).
