About 15% of our site consists of vegetaded area composed by an APP (permanent protected area). This is a pre-existing vegetated area composed by adapted/native species that the owner won't touch because it has always been there. By "won't touch" I mean he won't irrigate, and he won't catalogue the plant species in there. So if he won't catalogue we won't be able to list them in the WEc1 template.
We intend to account this APP area in the credit SSc5.2 but I'm concerned about the impact this would have in WEc1. So my question is: do I have to list the APP species in the WEc1 template, even if we are not going to irrigate them, since they are adapted and can survive on their own? Or I am allowed to exclude the APP from the WEc1 template calculations if I justify that it's adapted and don't need irrigation. And if I do this, can I still account for the APP in credit SSc5.2? Yes, we will have other irrigated vegetated (grass) areas on the site and these we can list in the WEc1 template.
Thanks!

The definition of landscaped area was changed in the addendum form 7/19/2010. You will need to exclude areas left in it's natural state. So the APP is excluded from this credit and doesn't need to be specified other than a brief sentence that this is a protected area. You can however still account for it under SS c5.2
