I'm surrounded by really smart mech engineers and we need clarification about how to measure the total combined heating capacity. We use tanks plus on demand (larger capacity tankless) together in projects. SO which type of measurement?

I never have - and its been a year. I think I will submit this as a question through a project and see if anything shakes out.
